Santa Barbara Open Mic
Thursdays 7-9pm - Santa Barbara Roasting Company
Every Thursday night a diverse group of Santa Barbara musicians, poets, spoken word artists, comedians, and writers gather to share performances. Always a positive and lively audience, its a fun and safe environment for emerging and seasoned artists alike. An all ages event, it is the perfect opportunity for artists to freely express themselves and find community.

2010 Rincon Classic Surf Contest
March 13th & 14th, Rincon Point
Free Culture Arts is excited to be sponsoring the 27th Rincon Classic surf contest held yearly at the 'Queen of the Coast, Rincon Point. Free Culture will be bringing the music and entertainment to this years Award Ceremony help on March 14th at the Maritime Museum. Featured artists will be Taylor Strand, Fred Pavel, and Justin Ratowsky. Join us for sun, surf, and live music at this years eco-friendly Rincon Classic, put on by Surf Happens.
What: Rincon Classic After Party: $10 gets you Dinner by Wahoo's Fish Taco, drinks by Bud Light, entertainment by Free Culture, a raffle ticket, slideshow of the contest, a auction with great items, and a short film on what Surf Happens is doing to reduce there use of plastic at the 2010 Rincon Classic.

Youth Open Mic Night, Thursday October 15th 7-9pm
Santa Barbara Open Mic is hosting our first youth themed open mic night. Here we will create a safe and fun environment for free expression for the youth. Spread the word to the kids & bring out the family to this one! Same format-sign ups 6:30, and still open to all ages but this one goes out to the kids!

Free Culture Concert & Art Show in Casa De La Guerra Thursday, October 1st

IMAGINE A CLEAR COAST Casa De La Guerra 5-8pm
Come out to celebrate local art and support the protection of our coast. Featuring local bands: Chris Wilson, Justin Ratowsky with guest Chris Keet, and Gardens & Villa. Check out the art of Chris Peterson, Pete Peirce, and Charlie Clingman of Forever Stoked Art. We will also be showing a multi-media presentation of the Naples coast as well as surf films by local filmmaker Josh Pomer. Beer and Wine served. All proceeds go to the Save Naples Campaign.
AFTER PARTY
Join us after at the Live Culture Lounge for live music and drink specials for Imagine a Clear Coast guests! 8-11pm 11 De La Guerra

**The night was a total success raising over $1,000 for the Naples Campaign and a great time for all who attended. Here is a short video on the beginning of the evening. 80 degree weather, and a beautiful community gather under a full moon.

Free Culture Showcase & Benefit Show, SOHO August 2nd 2009
Our first event teaming up with the Santa Barbara Chapter Surfrider Foundation was a beautiful success. Held at SOHO, we heard from four emerging local musicians; Taylor Strand, Fred Pavel, Chris Wilson, and headlining was Erland Wanberg.All can be found in our Artists section. We raised $500 towards the protection of the Gaviota Coast and raised awareness on important issues facing our beaches.
